Gimme One is an LGBTQ VR/ Dome documentary. In a vogue ballroom, ‘Gimme one’ is what the MC would ask the judges in deciding the winner of the battle. Gimme One is a virtual reality and dome experience telling the story of four members of the ballroom community. The experience paints portraits of the artists and depict their body movements using digital volumetric capture techniques. The project explores ideas around cultural appropriation, empowerment and the different voices in this unique and vibrant subculture.
